Purpose of Role: The Welder/Fitter will be responsible for heavy fabrication and repair work, specifically on large mining buckets and related industrial equipment. They should have a strong background in fitting fabricated parts, welding thick materials, structural components, and wear parts, with a focus on safety, precision, and durability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fitting: Fit, align, and assemble large, fabricated parts according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • MIG Welding: Perform MIG welding on large scale mining buckets and heavy equipment components. Conduct structural repairs, rebuilds, and modifications using appropriate welding techniques
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Operate heavy-duty fabrication tools including grinders, torches, and plasma cutters. Be able to identify and understand welding symbols.
  • Quality Inspection: Inspect welds for quality and compliance with specifications as determined by blueprints
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of MIG welding experience
  • Ability to understand agile drawings and weld symbols
  • Ability to use and run an air arc
  • Must pass a welding test to be considered for hire
