Purpose of Role:  We are seeking qualified Mechanical Fitters that have rebuild/overhaul experience across multiple styles of pumps.

You need to be able to strip pumps from drawings/manuals, carry out measuring and reassembly, including balancing, calculating tolerances, pressure testing and completing final inspection reports.

Field service with workshop support. Work predominantly in Sydney, Hunter Valley and Central West areas. 

  • Monday - Friday roster

  • Overtime and weekend work available

  • Shutdown & Site work includes 2-3 site projects per month - travel and numerous days away is required

  • Allowances for travel and site work
     

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completing repairs on critical equipment, including strip and assembly, assessment and reporting and machine maintenance.

  • Carry out all tasks in accordance with the Service Centre Quality Manual.

  • Document wear, corrosion and faults with photos to complete condition assessments.

  • Make recommendations for improvements to current products, services and procedures.

  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.


Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Cert III – Mechanical Engineering/Fitting & Turning 

  • Experience working as a Mechanical Fitter in a workshop or onsite

  • Experience working on Pumps, Crushers, Valves, Conveyors is desirable 

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills

  • High Risk Forklift ticket - preferred

  • Overhead crane & doggers ticket - highly desirable

  • Manual drivers license required
