Salary Range: $72,800.00 - $82,300.00  

*As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC Offices 

Position Summary

Under general direction, is responsible for the administration of the department's residency and/or fellowship program(s).

Job Responsibilities

  • Manages the administrative functions of the department’s Residency program and/or fellowship program(s), including the recruitment of applicants, orientation, credentialing, documentation and evaluation of trainees.
  • Coordinates the annual appointment, credentialing, onboarding and off-boarding processes for existing and new residents, fellows, observers, visitors and volunteers, including annual OPPE, FPPE
  • Ensures that the department's educational/training program(s) are in compliance with ACGME guidelines. Prepares documentation and recommendations to ensure favorable judgments on audits, re-accreditation and re-certification criteria.
  • Organizes and prepares for resident/faculty/program evaluations including bi-annual resident performance reviews, bi-annual ACGME Clinical Competency Committee (CCC) and annual Program Evaluation Committee.
  • Assists program leadership in implementing new regulations and develops procedures and new systems, as needed, to ensure compliance with federal policies, rules & regulations.
  • Assists in the coordination of Continuing Medical Education programs. May develop, maintain and/or disseminate departmental or functional specific policies and procedures.
  • May also be responsible for maintaining a departmental standard operating procedures (SOP) manual if available.
  • Responsible for disbursement/reimbursement activities as needed.
  • Coordinates the administrative functions of the National Residency Match program. Manages all administrative facets of the residency/fellowship interview process.
  • Generates reports for analysis to be use utilized in the above-named committees, program leadership meetings and other forums related to the residency/fellowship program.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree

Experience

Approximately 3 years of related experience in an academic medical center

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to take initiative and simultaneously manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Demonstrate organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written correspondence with a very diverse constituency, in addition to providing clear and cohesive documentation.
