At Wegmans, we see our Pharmacy as much more than a place where customers come to get prescriptions filled. Our customers depend on our Pharmacists to provide the best service possible when it comes to their health. As a Pharmacist, you will work closely with management and technicians to provide customers with exceptional care and a one-of-a-kind pharmacy experience.
What will I do?
- Answer, assess and listen to customer questions, needs and concerns; show empathy in sensitive situations; strive to exceed expectations, provide alternative solutions to problems, and achieve the best possible outcome for customers
- Provide counseling on prescriptions; relay pertinent information for success and confidence in at home use of medication
- Perform all necessary steps of work flow accurately and efficiently to ensure customers receive error-free products
- Maintain product levels, improve efficiencies, seek continuous improvement opportunities, identify barriers to achieve goals, and escalate issues when appropriate
- Support and stay current on company wellness initiatives; ensure consistency and execution and share best practices
- Comply with all federal, state, and HIPAA regulations; ensure company guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures are followed
- Verify potential licensing in any state Wegmans does business
Required Qualifications
- Pharmacist State License (may require licensing in multiple states)
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (PharmB) degree
- Certified Pharmacist Immunizer
- AED, CPR certified
- Computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified in a Disease State
- Experience working in a high-volume retail Pharmacy setting
