\nWe are looking for a highly skilled Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure. This role blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership, ensuring robust systems for our fast-paced development environment. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and security teams to enable seamless deployments, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across cloud infrastructure and CI/CD workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture
Architect, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-efficient infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices using Terraform or equivalent frameworks.
Optimize cloud architecture for high availability, fault tolerance, and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with engineering teams to design infrastructure that supports CI/CD pipelines, containerized workloads, and automated deployments.
CI/CD & Automation
Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for automated, reliable, and fast software releases using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
Integrate automated testing, monitoring, and deployment practices to reduce errors and accelerate development cycles.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase deployment efficiency, reliability, and traceability.
Containerization & Orchestration
Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate workloads with Kubernetes (GKE preferred).
Ensure deployment consistency, scalability, and observability across environments.
Collaborate with development teams to optimize container images, service deployment strategies, and resource utilization.
Monitoring, Security & Reliability
Implement proactive monitoring, logging, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver, or equivalent.
Ensure security best practices in cloud configurations, network design, and access management.
Troubleshoot and resolve system performance, reliability, and availability issues efficiently.
Leadership & Mentorship
Guide and mentor junior engineers in cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, and CI/CD automation.
Conduct code and design reviews for infrastructure changes to ensure quality, consistency, and scalability.
Influence technical direction through recommendations, architectural guidance, and thought leadership.
Required Skills & Experience
5–10 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or site reliability engineering.
Strong expertise with Google Cloud Platform (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, IAM, VPC, etc.).
Proven experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar.
Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/GKE).
Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, security best practices, and cloud operations.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver, or equivalents).
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
Ability to mentor and guide engineers with varying levels of experience.
Preferred Skills
Experience managing high-availability, production-grade systems.
Exposure to cost optimization, performance tuning, and resource management on GCP.
Scripting proficiency in Bash, Python, or equivalent languages.
Familiarity with operational excellence frameworks and best practices for cloud infrastructure.
