We are looking for an experienced and strategic Manager – Database Engineering to lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable database solutions with a strong focus on MongoDB. As a key contributor to the technology team, you will oversee database architecture decisions, performance tuning initiatives, and operational excellence while managing and mentoring a team of database engineers. • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of MongoDB-based database architectures to support scalable and high-availability systems
• Manage and mentor a team of database engineers, ensuring effective task allocation, performance monitoring, and professional development
• Oversee database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing strategies, and storage management to ensure optimal system efficiency
• Define database standards, best practices, and governance frameworks for data integrity, security, and compliance
• Monitor database health, availability, and reliability, implementing proactive measures to minimize downtime and performance bottlenecks
• Collaborate with application developers, DevOps teams, and solution architects to align database strategies with business and technical requirements
• Implement backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity
• Drive automation initiatives for database provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance activities
• Identify risks, troubleshoot complex database issues, and implement root-cause solutions
• Evaluate and adopt emerging database technologies and tools to enhance scalability and performance

• Minimum 11 years of experience in database engineering, with strong hands-on expertise in MongoDB architecture and administration
• Proven experience managing and leading teams of database professionals, fostering collaboration and accountability
• Deep understanding of database design principles, data modeling, replication, sharding, and high-availability configurations
• Strong expertise in performance optimization, capacity planning, and system scalability for large-scale data environments
• Experience working in enterprise-grade systems requiring high reliability, security, and compliance standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling seamless collaboration across teams
• A strategic mindset with the ability to align database initiatives with organizational growth and technology roadmaps
