POSITION SUMMARY:
WRM is seeking a motivated Finance/Accounting Summer Intern to join our Houston team. This intern will support the Finance and Accounting departments while working closely with leadership to gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and business operations. The internship provides meaningful exposure to real-world financial processes and professional development through structured projects and day-to-day responsibilities.
SUMMER INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE:
During the internship, participants will have the opportunity to:
Support finance and accounting projects aligned with business objectives
Assist with financial reporting, data analysis, and reconciliations
Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities
Attend networking events, Lunch & Learn sessions, and site tours
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand operational finance
Complete a capstone project demonstrating financial analysis and business insights

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
Currently enrolled full-time as a Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting or ERP systems a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Must be local to the Houston/Katy area
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This role is primarily sedentary. The intern must be able to lift and carry files up to 25 lbs., open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as needed.
