💼 What You’ll Do
Position Overview
We’re looking for a reliable and computer-savvy Scale Attendant to join our team at the Heart of Florida Landfill. This role is essential for ensuring accurate weight tracking, smooth traffic flow, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate computerized scale system to weigh incoming and outgoing vehicles
- Accurately enter and manage data using Excel and internal systems
- Print and distribute scale tickets and receipts
- Communicate with drivers and direct traffic as needed
- Answer phone calls and assist with general inquiries
- Maintain a clean and organized scale house environment
Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer use
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in logistics, dispatch, or landfill operations is a plus
Schedule & Benefits
- Full-time, day shift
- Pay range: $16–$18/hr based on experience
