Lube Technician – RIP Landfill (Waste Connections)

📍 Homosassa, FL – Citrus County
💰 Pay Range: $24–$26/hr
📅 Schedule: Monday–Friday (40–50 hours/week) + Occasional Saturdays

RIP Landfill, a Waste Connections site in Homosassa, FL, is hiring an experienced and motivated Lube Technician to support our fleet of garbage trucks and heavy equipment. This is a great opportunity for candidates with 1+ years of diesel experience or graduates of a Diesel Technology program who are ready to grow in a stable and essential industry.

💼 Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on garbage trucks and heavy equipment.
  • Conduct safety checks on vehicles, equipment, and shop tools.
  • Complete maintenance-related tasks, including fluid changes, greasing, filters, and inspections.
  • Assist with the inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant work area.
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors and technicians on needed repairs or follow-up tasks.
  • Follow all corporate and OSHA safety procedures at all times.

🔧 Ideal Candidate

  • 1+ year of heavy truck or heavy equipment maintenance experience, OR completion of a Diesel Technology program.
  • Strong understanding of basic diagnostics, equipment repair, and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to read and comprehend service manuals and technical repair documents.
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a solid work ethic are highly valued.
  • Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently or within a team.
