About this role

El Dorado Disposal, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a safety conscious Bin Repair Technician to join our team in Placerville, CA!

The schedule for this position will be Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm. Starting pay will be $24-$28 per hour, depending on experience. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Repair trash containers (weld, paint, washing)

  • Repair roll-off boxes (weld, paint, washing)

  • Yard and facility maintenance 

  • Picking up and sweeping windblown trash in the yard.

  • Various utility tasks as needed

  • Other manual laborer duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of work experience. Preferably in a laborer, Maintenance type roles

  • The ability to stand outside throughout an 8 hr shift

  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly

  • Ability and will to work in all weather conditions. The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate.

  • Experience running equipment is a plus

  • Welding and fabricating experience a plus

  • Must pass drug screen and pre-employment background check.

  • Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts, which requires following basic safety precautions.

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
