🔧 What You’ll Do (Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities)

As a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician, you will:

  • Perform repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on diesel trucks and heavy‑duty vehicles.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
  • Use onboard vehicle computer systems to identify failure modes and adjust Engine & Vehicle Control Modules.
  • Respond to road calls and emergency repair needs.
  • Review and complete repairs noted on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs).
  • Document work performed using fleet maintenance software.
  • Test‑drive trucks after repairs to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Assist team members with repairs and collaborate in a supportive shop environment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, OSHA‑compliant workspace.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

🛠️ What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Proficiency in diesel diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and heavy‑duty truck repair.
  • A basic tool set.
  • A Class B CDL or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
  • Hydraulic repair experience (a strong plus!).
