Your New Role...

We are seeking a Senior Privacy Technology Manager with a strong technical background in Python, Node.js, or Java, and hands-on experience with privacy-enabling technologies. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate privacy requirements into scalable technical solutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is eager to roll up their sleeves while guiding a small team of developers. Senior Privacy Technology Manager will be responsible for architecting and building privacy technologies—leveraging APIs, AI, and cloud infrastructure—while also mentoring and managing a globally distributed team. This is a hybrid role combining leadership, strategy, and direct technical execution.

Your Role Accountabilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and mentor a small team of developers.

  • Define and drive the privacy tech roadmap in alignment with legal, compliance, and business goals.

  • Translate privacy requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Hands-On Development

  • Actively contribute to coding, architecture, and system design.

  • Conduct code reviews and guide best practices in development.

  • Build and maintain privacy automation tools, APIs, and data inventory systems.

  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage onboarding of brands to privacy platforms and APIs.

  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts across legal, engineering, and product teams.

  • Present technical strategies and progress to senior leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Extensive experience in software development or privacy engineering.

  • Solid experience in managing developers or technical teams.

  • Strong experience with Node.js, Python, or Java.

  • Deep understanding of privacy principles (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

  • Proven experience in global or cross-regional roles.

  • Comfortable working in a small, agile team with high ownership.

  • Familiarity with data mapping, lineage, and cataloging tools.

  • Knowledge of data governance and information security principles.

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management frameworks.

Not Required but preferred experience 

  • Experience with LLMs and unstructured data analysis.

  • Background in media, entertainment, or tech industries.

  • Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPT, or OneTrust Professional.

  • Familiarity with streaming and similar products/services.
