The MAP Measurement, Insights and Data Strategy (MINDS) team is part of the Sam’s Club Member & Insights Center of Excellence org that is dedicated to supporting the retail media MAP business unit. MAP MINDS plays a critical role in MAP’s accelerated growth by bringing the power of 1st party deterministic membership data and advanced data science and innovative measurement approaches together to offer trusted data and insights to MAP advertisers and MAP internal teams.

What you'll do...

What will you do? The Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics, Performance Measurement & Insights will lead the delivery of a centralized analytics and dashboarding initiative designed to provide transparent, reliable, and decision-ready insights for advertisers. This role will focus on building and scaling high-quality dashboards and measurement solutions that connect data pipelines, standardized metrics, and intuitive visualizations to enable faster, more confident decision-making for sales and supplier partners. In close partnership with product, engineering, and Sales teams, this role will design and implement end-to-end analytics solutions spanning data modeling, performance measurement, and visualization. The Senior Manager will advance dashboard standards, data quality, and automation, including the application of AI-enabled analytics and reporting workflows, while translating complex performance results into clear, actionable insights. This role will also contribute to evolving measurement methodologies and best practices to support new media products and ensure Supersets Dashboarding Initiative scales as a trusted source of truth across the organization. Who is an ideal candidate? The ideal candidate is a hands-on data professional who blends analytics engineering, data visualization, and applied data science to drive clarity and decision-making in a fast-growing retail media environment. They bring strong prior retail media and digital / in-store advertising experience. This person brings deep technical expertise in SQL, Python, BI tools, and data pipelines, paired with the ability to translate complex data into simple, actionable narratives for sales, product, and supplier stakeholders. They are energized by building end-to-end analytics solutions, from data sourcing and modeling to high-quality dashboards and AI-enabled insights, and are comfortable operating in highly visible, cross-functional environments. What you’ll do
  • Own and deliver end-to-end analytics solutions, from data sourcing and modeling to dashboards and actionable insights
  • Analyze retail media campaign and business performance across channels to drive optimization
  • Design, build, and maintain high-quality dashboards and visualizations using Superset and other BI tools as needed
  • Develop, enhance, and partner on scalable data pipelines and analytics-ready datasets
  • Perform hands-on analytics, deep dives, and modeling using SQL and Python
  • Lead AI-enabled analytics and automation efforts, including campaign insight generation and reporting automation
  • Apply large language models to scale insights delivery, automate reporting, and support self-serve analytics use cases
  • Establish and maintain data quality, validation, and monitoring standards across pipelines and dashboards
  • Translate complex analytics outputs into clear, actionable narratives for sales, product, engineering, and supplier stakeholders
  • Partner cross-functionally with product, engineering, media activation, and sales teams on high-visibility initiatives
  • Create reusable frameworks, templates, and best practices to scale analytics, visualization, and measurement capabilities
What you’ll bring
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, analytics engineering, or applied data science roles
  • Strong prior experience in retail media and digital / in-store advertising
  • Strong hands-on coding experience with Python and SQL; ability to write production-quality, maintainable code
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets and building analytics-ready data models and pipelines
  • Advanced experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools such as Tableau, or Superset
  • Working knowledge of predictive modeling, measurement frameworks, and experimentation concepts
  • Experience applying AI/ML or large language model–based solutions to analytics and reporting use cases
  • Ability to translate complex technical and analytical outputs into clear, actionable business insights
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working cross-functionally with sales, product, engineering, and external partners
  • Strong problem-solving skills, business acumen, and attention to detail
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with competing priorities

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09930: The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00
San Bruno, California US-08848: The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).
