About this role

Position Summary...

As Senior Manager, Benefits and Wellbeing, you will lead key initiatives within Walmart’s Absence Management team. You’ll be responsible for aligning both internal & external technology integrations and systems optimization for Absence, Disability, PTO, PFML, and Accommodations, shaping the future of benefits and absence programs for over a million associates. This is a unique opportunity to influence enterprise-wide solutions and enhance the associate experience at scale.

The Absence Management team is dedicated to delivering seamless, compliant, and innovative benefits solutions that support Walmart associates throughout their life and career. We partner with cross-functional teams and leverage cutting-edge technology to ensure our programs remain industry-leading, efficient, and associate-centric. 

What you'll do...

  • Define and execute the technology strategy and roadmap for Absence Management, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and regulatory compliance. 
  • Oversee system implementations and enhancements across Benefits, Workday, Payroll, and Time & Attendance platforms, while driving secure, scalable data integrations that enable a resilient, compliant, future-ready framework. 
  • Lead cross-functional projects from conception to delivery, managing timelines, risks, and stakeholder alignment through clear business requirements. 
  • Champion automation and AI-driven solutions to enhance efficiency, maintain compliance, and elevate the associate experience. 
  • Lead AI/Automation transformation for entire team, including identifying use cases, integrating agents, establishing standards, and driving adoption across the team.
  • Mentor associates, manage vendor relationships, and foster strong collaboration across teams.

  • Experience in benefits, absence management, and HRIS technology (Workday, Payroll, Time & Attendance)   
  • Proven success managing large-scale system integrations and technology-driven process improvements   
  • Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills   
  • Experience with automation, AI solutions, and data integration frameworks   
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, manage vendors, and coach team members

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
