Responsibilities
As a Senior Mobile QA Engineer, you will take ownership of the quality of large-scale projects and help elevate the testing standards within the mobile team:
- Participate in the full software development life cycle, ensuring quality at every stage from design to deployment.
- Design and own comprehensive test plans for complex mobile features and cross-functional projects.
- Write, automate, and maintain test cases and contribute to the development of our mobile automation frameworks.
- Analyze defects to identify patterns, risks, and systemic areas for process improvement.
- Recommend and implement improvements to QA processes, tools, and practices specific to mobile testing.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality.
- Share best practices and knowledge across the QA team, especially in mobile automation.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers on complex mobile features and roadmap planning.
- Represent QA in project discussions and critical release readiness reviews.
- Stay updated on the latest mobile testing methodologies, tools, and industry trends (e.g., new iOS/Android platform features).
- Evaluate and introduce new QA tools and technologies to the mobile team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or software testing, with significant experience in mobile application testing.
- Strong knowledge and experience of automation frameworks (Python, Pytest, Playwright, Cypress, or mobile-specific frameworks like
- Appium).Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex, multi-platform mobile projects.
- Proven mentorship and leadership capabilities, with experience guiding other QA professionals.
- Strong English and communication skills.
- Experience working with agile software development teams.
- Ability to work independently and proactively, taking ownership of quality initiatives.
- ISTQB certification.
Nice to have
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and managing test infrastructure for mobile builds.
- Experience in financial software development, understanding regulatory and security requirements.
