About this role

Overview

Performs skilled installation, alteration, and maintenance of building electrical systems, including medium voltage distribution gear and secondary voltage gear. Maintains working knowledge of electrical distribution systems and power control systems. Monitors and operates computer systems that control the Emergency Generator System for the hospital. Supports new equipment installations. Supports departmental success by performing assigned tasks. Interprets one line diagrams and reads construction drawings. Troubleshoots industrial electrical distribution systems. Understands regulatory requirements for emergency power systems, including but not limited to NFPA 99 and 101. Assists in educating and training of maintenance mechanics throughout the department. Properly documents regulatory testing and work order processes. Provides technical guidance and assistance to other employees and departments.
