About this role

Overview

The Clinical Quality Specialist is a clinical leader who functions across service lines and locations as part of the management team and collaborates with compliance and nursing services. Responsibilities include partnering with service line leaders to facilitate a variety of clinical and administrative duties related to clinical staff workflows. In addition, the Clinical Quality Specialist performs clinical education, quality assessment and improvement initiatives across many specialties. The CQS ensures clinical practice standards are consistent with WakeMed policies and procedures/standards of care/approved protocols/standing orders and ensures compliance with the North Carolina Board of Nursing and other applicable regulatory agencies.
