Role Overview

The Manager – Services Development will play a critical role in building and scaling the “services layer” of Wadhwani Accelerate’s Assisted Growth Programs.

The role sits at the intersection of product design, expert network development, and service delivery enablement. The individual will help convert growth challenges faced by SMEs into clearly defined, repeatable service offerings and build a high-quality panel of domain experts who can deliver these services across regions.

This is a builder role suited for someone who enjoys creating structure out of complexity, working closely with experts, and scaling professional services in a semi-productized model.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Services & Product Development

  • Work with the Program Head – Accelerate to translate growth archetypes (e.g., export expansion, domestic scaling, channel growth, customer segmentation) into structured service offerings.
  • Help define service “modules” across key execution hurdles such as:
    • Working capital & finance
    • Sales process & capability
    • Market entry & channel strategy
    • Product readiness & positioning
    • Regulatory & compliance
  • Support the creation of a service matrix (growth archetype × execution hurdle) and clearly articulate scope, outcomes, effort, and delivery format for each service.
  • Assist in defining differentiated service bundles for Accelerate Select, Accelerate Core cohorts based on advisory hours, delivery format, and expert seniority.

 

2. Expert Network Building & Management

  • Identify, onboard, and manage a curated panel of regional and national experts across domains such as exports, sales growth, compliance, finance, and product strategy.
  • Build strong working relationships with experts across Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Uttar Pradesh.
  • Define engagement models for experts (retainer, per-assignment, cohort-based delivery, workshops, 1:1 advisory).
  • Ensure experts are aligned to Wadhwani Accelerate’s service standards, outcomes, and delivery formats.

 

3. Service Enablement & Quality Assurance

  • Work with program and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment of services to ventures.
  • Help standardize service delivery through playbooks, templates, diagnostic frameworks, and checklists.
  • Monitor service quality, expert effectiveness, and venture feedback to continuously improve offerings.
  • Support pilots of new services and refine them before scaling.

 

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with Program, Partnerships, Impact, and Operations teams to align services with cohort needs and outcomes.
  • Provide inputs into pricing logic, effort estimation, and scalability considerations for services.
  • Support internal documentation and knowledge management for service offerings.

Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

  • MBA from a reputed institute.
  • 5–7 years of work experience in consulting, SME advisory, professional services, program management, or ecosystem-focused roles.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong ability to structure ambiguous problems into clear service offerings.
  • Experience working with or managing external experts, consultants, or partners.
  • Understanding of SME growth challenges in areas such as sales, exports, finance, or compliance.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • High execution orientation with attention to detail and follow-through.
