<div><strong>Job Description:</strong></div><div>W.W. Gay is seeking a VDC Intern. This is a seasonal, entry-level position open to active students pursuing a college degree in a field applicable to construction, with an interest in Virtual Design and Construction.</div><div> </div><div>The VDC Intern will be responsible for assisting the VDC Department with learning the basics of Revit to support the transition from design model to fabrication drawings</div><div> </div><div><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></div><ul>
<li>Isolate systems and create spool drawings based on provided criteria.</li>
<li>Setup sheets and schedules and provide annotated review binders within Revit 2023 or higher.</li>
<li>Provide a bill of material for procurement prior to fabrication.</li>
</ul><div> </div><div><strong>Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:</strong></div><ul>
<li>Fast learning, focused, and driven individual with an interest in mechanical piping and plumbing systems.</li>
<li>Ability to accurately and consistently execute processes and provide the same quality work product daily.</li>
<li>Ability to take directions from departmental managers and/or instructors.</li>
<li>Exceptional written, verbal communication skills and listening skills</li>
<li>Strong work ethic</li>
<li>Professionalism </li>
<li>Dependable / Punctual </li>
<li>Organization and attention to detail </li>

<li>Mid-level to advanced computer skills</li>

<li>High School Diploma or GED</li>
<li>Actively pursuing associate degree or higher-level education in field applicable to construction</li>

</div><div><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></div><ul>
<li>40 hours/ week in Jacksonville office. No remote work.</li>
<li>Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li>
<li>Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.</li>
</ul>
