<strong>Position Summary:<br></strong><br>
</div><div>Responsible for ensuring the safety of all personnel in the workplace. Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining appropriate safety measures and making sure that those measures are effectively communicated to everyone. Responsible for addressing and investigating safety incidents that occur and implementing proper response procedures.<br><br>

<strong>Essential Functions</strong>:<br><br>
</div><ul>
<li>Perform basic site inspections.</li>
<li>Possess or obtain OSHA 30-Hour Outreach Training for Construction within six (6) months of hire.</li>
<li>Be proficient in knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite/Time Keeping Software.</li>
<li>Possess good oral and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Must be fit for duty and able to lift not to exceed 50lbs.</li>
<li>Must be able to wear all required safety personal protective equipment and must be able to climb a standard rated ladder and stairs.</li>
<li>Must be able to withstand outside temperatures/elements.</li>
<li>Must have a valid driver’s license, background clearance, and willingness to travel.</li>

<strong>Additional Job-Related Duties</strong>:<br><br>
</div><ul>
<li>Comply with federal and state law, regulations, and all Company rules.</li>
<li>Participate in online and in-person training and other educational opportunities to develop knowledge, skills, and abilities.</li>
<li>Any other job-related activities requested by immediate supervisor.</li>

<strong>Education/Experience Requirements</strong>:<br><br>

<li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li>
<li>Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Safety or a similar field is preferred.</li>
<li>Minimum of one (1) year of experience/education in Occupational Health/Industrial Hygiene.</li>

<strong>Physical Requirements:</strong><br><br>
</div><ul>
<li>This position requires the performance of moderate physical work: Safety Specialist may be required to lift up to 50lbs occasionally and perform activities such as bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping for up to five (5) hours without sitting.</li>
<li>The position may also involve some repetitive motions of the hands, wrists, and elbows.</li>

<strong>Working Conditions</strong>:<br><br>
</div><ul>
<li>This position is normally performed in a jobsite work environment which does subject the employee to the elements. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud, and hearing protection may be required under certain conditions.</li>
<li>This position may require a flexible schedule, periodic overtime, and overnight travel as needed.</li>
