Gay Mechanical Controls & Integration is looking for a motivated <strong>HVAC Controls Technician</strong> with <strong>1–2 years of experience</strong> who wants to <strong>grow into a strong, well-rounded BAS professional</strong>.<br><br> </div><div>If you’ve worked with DDC controls, understand HVAC basics, and want hands-on experience with modern BAS systems alongside senior technicians, this is a great next step in your career.<br><br> </div><div> <strong>What You’ll Learn & Work With<br></strong><br> </div><div>You’ll gain real-world experience on industry-leading BAS platforms, including:<br><br> </div><ul> <li><strong>Tridium Niagara AX / N4</strong></li> <li><strong>Honeywell WEBs</strong></li> <li><strong>KMC Controls</strong></li> <li><strong>JCI FX</strong></li> </ul><div> <em>(You are not expected to be an expert — training and mentoring are provided.)<br></em><br> </div><div> <strong>What You’ll Be Responsible For<br></strong><br> </div><div>Under the guidance of senior technicians and project managers, you will:<br><br> </div><ul> <li>Assist with installation, wiring, and termination of HVAC control systems</li> <li>Load programs, make basic programming changes, and verify point-to-point operation</li> <li>Support system start-up and functional testing</li> <li>Help verify sequences of operation in the field</li> <li>Assist with graphics setup and basic front-end navigation</li> <li>Troubleshoot basic control and communication issues</li> <li>Maintain checkout sheets and assist with as-built documentation</li> <li>Follow company safety standards and job site procedures</li> </ul><div> <strong>What You Should Already Be Comfortable With<br></strong><br> </div><div>To be successful in this role, you should be able to:<br><br> </div><ul> <li>Understand basic HVAC systems (AHUs, RTUs, VAVs, fans, pumps)</li> <li>Read wiring diagrams and control drawings</li> <li>Use a laptop to connect to controllers and BAS systems</li> <li>Perform point checks and basic troubleshooting</li> <li>Communicate clearly with senior technicians and supervisors</li> <li>Work independently on assigned tasks after direction is given</li> </ul><div> <strong>What Success Looks Like<br></strong><br> </div><div>Within your first 6–12 months, you’ll be able to:<br><br> </div><ul> <li>Complete control device installations with minimal supervision</li> <li>Perform reliable point-to-point checks</li> <li>Make basic programming and sequence adjustments</li> <li>Assist in system commissioning and troubleshooting</li> <li>Progress toward a Senior Controls Technician role</li> </ul><div> <strong>Requirements<br></strong><br> </div><ul> <li> <strong>1–2 years of experience</strong> in HVAC, DDC, or BAS controls</li> <li>Basic understanding of electrical systems and low-voltage wiring</li> <li>Familiarity with BAS software or control interfaces</li> <li>Organized, reliable, and eager to learn</li> <li>Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record</li> </ul><div> <strong>Why W.W.
