Overview

STAND UP LIFT TRUCK OPERATOR POSITION

Hours

1st Shift 7am-3:30pm/until complete

Sunday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

As a Stand Up Lift Truck Operator you will perform put-away and replenishment functions making product available for shipment. 

Observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process.

Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.

 

Pay starts at $17.45 / hour during training period

After successful completion of training pay is based on production and potential earnings up to $21.85 / hour.

Responsibilities

 

  • Inspect Equipment daily to ensure it is proper working condition and update equipment inspection.
  • Must be able to pass stand up lift truck operator’s qualification course.
  • Obtain paperwork and documents necessary to perform needed job functions as needed.
  • Must work in a safe manner, adhering to all company safety guidelines. Does not damage any product. If damage should occur, lift operator should clean up damage or call for a clean-up person immediately and report it to a supervisor.
  • Responsible for checking in all incoming products. All incoming products are scanned, added to inventory, and then tagged by receivers.  This tag contains the item number of the product, a unique pallet ID number, the date the product was received, a brief description of the product, the location of the pick slot, and the Ti Hi of the product on the pallet.
  • Verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips. Inspect and report any damage, discrepancies or dating issues.
  • Using a stand up lift truck, take product received to/from storage area and place into slot, overhead storage, or surplus storage as required. Rotate product and hand stack cases as necessary to ensure proper product rotation. Aid Order Selectors by retrieving and scanning pallets from upper-level reserve slots and placing them into lower-level pick slots. Scan the new location and confirm the pallets are placed into the correct slots.
  • Must be able to reach, lift, and stack cases ranging in weight from 1 to 100 pounds.
  • Responsible for following all training documents and procedures as it relates to Food Safety and Food Defense.
  • Complete the necessary paperwork and turn in on a timely basis, as needed.
  • May be required to do other tasks, as necessary.

Qualifications

 

  • Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
  • Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to between approximately 100 pounds or more, depending on the location, throughout shift.
  • Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e., cooler, freezer and dry. Must pass post offer drug test.
  • Basic math and recording abilities
  • Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data, AS400 experience a plus
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Previous Stand Up Lift Truck experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to maintain a minimum weekly productivity average of 18 pallet moves/hour.
