About the Role
We’re seeking a skilled and proactive laser machine operator with strong problem-solving abilities, keen attention to detail, and a passion for precision machinery. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 6am – 2pm.
What you’ll do:
- Program, set up, and operate CNC laser machines
- Monitor equipment performance and resolve operational issues
- Ensure production quality and accuracy meet established standards
- Complete documentation to an intermediate level of detail and accuracy
- Work independently, managing your workload and meeting deadlines effectively
- Keep machines clean and report any faults
- Follow all Health & Safety rules and work safely
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating CNC laser or plasma machines, ideally in a manufacturing environment (steel preferred)
- Forklift experience (preferred)
- Full Class 1 driver’s licence with reliable transport
- Proven ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Basic to intermediate computer literacy
- Overhead crane experience is a bonus
- Good mechanical skills and attention to detail
- Able to read measurements and drawings

What you'll do
- The CNC Laser Operator will program, set up, and operate CNC laser machines while monitoring equipment performance and resolving operational issues. They are also responsible for ensuring production quality and accuracy, completing documentation, and maintaining a clean work environment.
