About this role

About the role

About Vooma Enterprise software is in the midst of a revolution. The world is shifting from "systems of record" to "systems of automation" - LLM powered agents and orchestrators that perform complex business tasks on behalf of and in concert with humans, with increasing levels of autonomy. Vooma's mission is to build the AI orchestration platform for America's $800+ BN trucking industry. Everything we touch in the physical world is moved on a truck - it's the backbone of the US economy. Yet logistics today is still extremely manual, which makes it one of the hungriest industries for the shift toward AI Agents. At Vooma, the products you'll build will help freight brokers and trucking companies win more business and seamlessly execute freight. Our AI agents operate across voice, email and text to automate critical workflows across the load lifecycle. Vooma is backed by top-tier investors including Index Ventures, Craft Ventures, Y-Combinator, and CEOs, founders and executives from the logistics industry.

Your role, should you choose to join us, will be Head of Growth / Demand . In this role, you’ll be the principal architect of the Vooma growth engine. You will design and execute growth strategies and tactics to help the $800BN trucking industry transform their operations with AI. You're the right person for this role if you're excited to build not just marketing campaigns, but help shape the company's trajectory from early days. You're a good fit if you're the type of person that is known by your peers to move mountains and make progress, no matter the circumstances. The ambiguity of early stage company building is thrilling to you, and you're excited by the challenge of breathing life into things that didn't exist before.

Your responsibilities will include:

Events & Sponsorships : Design and execute our presence at key industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build brand awareness and generate leads

Outbound Strategy : Develop and optimize outbound campaigns that cut through the noise to reach freight brokers, trucking companies, and logistics decision-makers with compelling, personalized messaging

Account-Based Marketing : Create targeted, multi-touch campaigns for our highest-value enterprise prospects, coordinating closely with sales to move strategic accounts through the pipeline

Partner Marketing : Build and manage strategic partnerships with complementary logistics technology companies, industry associations, and service providers to expand our reach and credibility

Content Distribution : Amplify our thought leadership content across multiple channels to establish Vooma as the definitive voice on AI transformation in logistics

Growth Analytics : Build dashboards and reporting systems to track, measure, and optimize all demand generation activities

Market Intelligence : Become the expert on our target market, tracking competitor movements, industry trends, and buyer behavior to inform strategy and positioning

Must haves:

5+ years of experience in B2B demand generation, growth marketing, or similar roles, preferably in enterprise software or logistics/supply chain

Proven track record of building and scaling demand generation programs that drive measurable pipeline and revenue growth

Experience with account-based marketing tactics and tools

Strong analytical skills with experience in marketing attribution, funnel optimization, and performance measurement

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling messaging for technical and executive audiences

Experience planning and executing industry events, conferences, and sponsorship programs

Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-changing environments

Nice-to-haves:

Experience in logistics, freight, transportation, or supply chain technology

Background in AI/ML or enterprise automation software marketing

Experience with content marketing and thought leadership programs

Previous startup experience, especially in early-stage growth roles

Existing relationships in the freight and logistics industry

Why you’ll love working here

The rare opportunity to join a formidable team to build an enduring company, in person, as a first 15 employee with unlimited growth potential

Massive market opportunity : Help transform a $800+ billion industry that touches every aspect of the physical economy

Cutting-edge technology : Work with the latest in AI and LLM technology to solve real-world business problems

Strong founding team : Learn from experienced founders with deep logistics and AI expertise

Top-tier backing : Supported by world-class investors and industry leaders who open doors and provide strategic guidance

Competitive compensation with significant equity upside that could be life-changing as we scale

About Vooma

About VoomaWe're building the AI Agent for logisticsThe first "skill" we built for the Vooma Agent automates order entry from shippers, which is the process of reading emails and keying in details about a load. It's a ubiquitous and expensive pain point for brokers and carriers, and the perfect wedge for building our broader platform. The second skill we launched automates quoting. For every truckload that our customers move, they quote on many more, often by email. By embedding in a user's email inbox, Vooma is able to automate most of the quoting process, and surface critical funnel data that has historically been hidden in thousands of emails. We've raised our seed round from Tier 1 investors and leading industry angels. We have enterprise contracts with leading logistics companies. Our team is made up of top talent from AI research and autonomous vehicles. Our teamVooma is founded by Jesse Buckingham and Mike Carter. Mike built self driving trucks as a founding engineer at Kodiak Robotics (raised $250M) where he established and led their motion planning and safety teams. Jesse was previously CEO at a private equity backed logistics software company that sold to brokers and truckers which he grew from $2M to $20M+ ARR.Our valuesAim HighAction Over ThinkingFull Force, Sharp ArrowLong Term Games, With Long Term PeopleTag, You’re ItEmbrace CandorFloat Like A ButterflyGet Your Hands DirtyWe’re A Business All-Star Team
