India Digital Tech Hub – Bangalore

The Digital Tech Hub is an integral part of the digital transformation journey for Volvo Cars. The Tech Hub is a strategic player, providing  skills and competencies in areas such as cloud solutions, data science and analytics, SAP, UX/UI and we are part of managing key technology platforms within various domains such as R&D, manufacturing & logistics and the commercial area.

What you'll do

As a Power Platform Developer in our Automation Engineering team, you will work with modern technologies that drive digital transformation and simplify everyday work for thousands of colleagues at Volvo Cars.

Main responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients, business units, and stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and estimate new automation opportunities.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Logic Apps, AI Builder, and Power Virtual Agents.
  • Develop Canvas and Model-Driven Power Apps in line with Volvo Cars design principles, standards, and best practices.
  • Apply UX/UI principles to create user-friendly, efficient, and visually appealing app interfaces.
  • Build custom connectors, plugins, and integrations with external systems and data sources.
  • Design data models and structures to ensure efficient, secure, and reliable data management.
  • Create and optimize complex workflows and business processes using Power Automate.
  • Stay current with Microsoft Power Platform innovations and identify opportunities to apply new features.
  • Communicate project progress, outcomes, and business value to stakeholders after delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Power Automate flows and applications in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the Automation Engineering team and with other departments to drive innovation and synergy.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of assigned projects, proactively escalating risks and impediments when needed.

What you'll bring

  • PL-400 Microsoft Power Platform Developer certification.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience developing solutions with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, AI Builder, and Power Virtual Agents.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform architecture, components, and services.
  • Solid understanding of backend integration and data modeling, including building data structures in Power Apps and Power BI.
  • Experience with Power BI for data modeling, visualization, and reporting.
  • Basic understanding of Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
  • Basic knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience designing and managing SharePoint data structures, including site setup, security models, and Dataverse integration.
  • Experience integrating APIs within the Power Platform ecosystem.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to reverse engineer and improve existing Power Platform solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in international and cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methods and DevOps practices.
  • A strong passion for technology, innovation, and automation, with a mindset focused on building smart, enterprise-grade solutions.

 

Nice to have

  • Experience building RPA solutions using Power Automate Desktop.
  • Exposure to Blue Prism or other RPA tools.
  • Experience with Azure services, Data Lakes, and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C#, HTML5, and JavaScript.
