Define and implement strategic guidance for setting up and managing virtualized computing resources, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency. Architect and guide the development and deployment of application platforms within the private cloud, enabling DevOps practices and cloud-native application delivery. Lead the design and implementation of container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes), ensuring scalability, security, and operational efficiency. Design, implement, and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance. Work with cloud-based database services (DBaaS). Develop and enhance automation frameworks using tools like Ansible and Terraform to support infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and continuous integration. Establish and enforce standards, policies, and governance models for private cloud platforms, incorporating security, compliance, and operational best practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, operations, security, and business units to align platform strategies and patterns with organizational objectives. Proven experience in designing and managing private cloud environments with a strong understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and CaaS models and their operational requirements. Deep expertise in hypervisors (VMware, KVM), container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes), and orchestration tools. Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud integration. Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef). Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and ability to integrate security controls into cloud architectures. Strong ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and lead change management initiatives. Grade 12 is essential. 3-year Bachelor's Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent qualification is preferable. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in private cloud architecture, virtualization, and containerization. Experience with cloud-native technologies, DevOps practices, and infrastructure automation.
