About this Role We are seeking a skilled and collaborative IoT DevOps Expert to join our Vodafone IoT team. This role is pivotal in automating application installation and configuration processes, ensuring seamless integration and delivery across environments. The individual will work closely with cross-functional teams including technical delivery leads, integration engineers, and software developers to support agile project execution and maintain high standards of performance and reliability. What you will do Design, implement, and maintain standardised CI/CD pipelines to support consistent build, test, release, and deployment processes Automate build and deployment workflows across staging and production environments Document installation and upgrade procedures to ensure clarity and repeatability Develop and implement monitoring scripts to enhance system observability Continuously improve automation processes to support scalability and efficiency Collaborate with stakeholders to verify project deliveries are on time, within budget, and aligned with agile principles Who you are Experienced in software engineering and DevOps practices, particularly for microservice-based applications Skilled in infrastructure analysis and design for enhanced monitoring and performance tracking Proficient in metrics instrumentation and monitoring in distributed systems, with hands-on experience in Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki Familiar with OpenTelemetry concepts including traces, logs, and metrics Advanced knowledge of build and control systems such as Maven, GIT, Jenkins Comfortable with scripting languages including Bash, Python, or Groovy Experienced in continuous integration and deployment using Jenkins and Ansible Strong understanding of container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes Knowledgeable in web application servers such as WebLogic, Tomcat, and Apache Certified or experienced in Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices Not a Perfect Fit?
