In this role, you will serve as an “internal startup founder,” with ownership and accountability ranging from customer discovery to initial customers and prototypes. You will drive the internal operating rhythm, manage risk, and support seamless integration across privacy, legal, compliance, and resource planning. The role is vital in maintaining momentum, transparency, and alignment throughout the venture lifecycle.
Role Responsibilities:
Own venture lifecycle from concept and hypothesis development through MVP build and pilot delivery.
Define venture strategy, including customer persona, pricing, and go-to-market hypothesis.
Lead user prototyping, client validation efforts, and pilot structuring
Oversee execution across design, engineering, regulatory, and commercialization functions.
Align with internal stakeholders to secure resources and ensure compliance
Transition the venture to Product once criteria are met, while continuing shared outcome ownership.
Role Requirements:
Bachelor degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in a related role required.
Prior experience as a startup CEO, GM, or Head of Product launching new ventures or products.
Proven ability to close customer contracts in new categories or early-stage markets.
Track record of leading fast-paced, ambiguous product development cycles with minimal precedent.
Understanding of pilot design, client onboarding, and MVP evaluation.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $187,800.00 to $348,300.00.This position is also incentive eligible.
