Summary:
In this role, you will lead client-facing Environmental Services (EVS) engagements that deliver data-driven insights, strategic recommendations, and measurable cost savings. You will apply advanced analytics, structured project management, and operational consulting expertise to improve performance across in-sourced and outsourced EVS models. You will serve as a trusted advisor to client leadership, manage engagements end to end, mentor team members, and contribute to the development of Vizient tools, methodologies, and intellectual capital.
Responsibilities:
Lead advanced analysis of complex data and translate findings into executive-ready insights and strategic recommendations that drive operational and financial improvement.
Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor to consultants, providing guidance on data interpretation, visualization, storytelling, and deliverable development.
Own end-to-end project planning and execution, applying Vizient project management methodology to ensure delivery against scope, timelines, budget, value commitments, and quality standards.
Ensure consistent, high-quality deliverables and accountability across project teams and workstreams.
Lead client meetings and working sessions, presenting findings and recommendations to mid- and senior-level client leadership.
Manage ongoing client relationships by setting expectations, proactively communicating progress, and addressing issues.
Act as a trusted advisor by aligning insights and recommendations with client priorities and Environmental Services models, including in-sourced and outsourced services, EVS labor strategies, and EVS supply optimization.
Identify and pursue opportunities to expand engagement value through additional analyses, cost savings initiatives, or follow-on work in partnership with Principals and Engagement Leaders.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of Vizient products, tools, methodologies, and intellectual capital, and share best practices across the practice.
Qualifications:
Relevant degree preferred.
5 or more years of relevant experience required. (e.g. Environmental Services, Patient Transportation, facilities operations, healthcare support services, or a related operational or consulting environment)
Demonstrated ability to support or lead performance improvement initiatives across service-line functions, including cost savings, productivity, throughput, or operational efficiency.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong capabilities in Excel (analysis, modeling, reporting) and PowerPoint (executive-ready presentations).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex operational and financial data and translate insights clearly to both executive and frontline audiences.
Experience working within a healthcare system, non-acute care environment, hospitality, or management consulting setting preferred.
Background in acute care Environmental Services, Patient Transportation, non-acute janitorial services, or large-scale service operations strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success in client-facing, advisory, or stakeholder-facing roles, including the ability to build trust and influence outcomes without direct authority.

Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $88,900.00 to $155,500.00.This position is also incentive eligible.
