Summary:

In this role, you will lead and develop a team of project managers while providing strategic oversight for complex, cross-functional initiatives supporting non-acute and small acute healthcare organizations. You will partner with internal stakeholders and external clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational objectives. You will promote consistency, best practices, and continuous improvement across the project management function while translating strategic priorities into clear, actionable outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee a portfolio of projects supporting non-acute and small acute healthcare clients.

• Ensure project execution aligns with Vizient methodologies, timelines, contractual commitments, and client expectations.

• Monitor project health, risks, dependencies, and outcomes, and drive timely issue resolution.

• Promote consistency and best practices across project planning, execution, reporting, and governance.

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of project managers through performance management and development planning.

• Manage workload prioritization and capacity planning to support team effectiveness and delivery commitments.

• Partner cross-functionally with sourcing, analytics, operations, finance, sales, and technology teams to align on scope, deliverables, and success metrics.

• Facilitate governance forums and executive-level updates to communicate progress and outcomes.

• Identify and implement opportunities to improve project delivery efficiency, scalability, and consistency.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree preferred.

• 7 or more years of relevant experience required.

• Demonstrated people leadership or team management experience.

• Experience supporting healthcare organizations, with non-acute or small acute experience preferred.

• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.

• Excellent written, verbal, and stakeholder communication skills.

• Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables.
