With beautiful campuses, flexible offerings, and trained, passionate teachers, we provide parents with peace of mind while offering employers the most powerful tool for recruitment, retention, and productivity.</p> <p><strong>About the role:</strong> Vivvi is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Financial Planning &amp;Analysis&nbsp;to lead our financial planning and analysis function and play a critical role in driving financial clarity and operational excellence across the organization. This full-time position will work closely with the CEO and collaborate deeply with our Controller (contractor), Campus Operations, B2B Services, and senior leadership. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting decision making across the company and will be interfacing with investors, as well as the Board of Directors.</p> <p>The Director of FP&amp;A will oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and performance management; own monthly and quarterly reporting cycles; and build scalable financial processes that support Vivvi’s continued growth. This role will manage two direct reports: our in-house Billing &amp; AP Manager and a contractor Accounting Manager.</p> <p>This is an ideal role for a mission-driven finance leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and loves building structure, insights, and systems that empower better decision-making.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><strong><em>Financial Planning, Reporting &amp; Analysis</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>Own monthly, quarterly, and year-end forecasting cycles, including variance analyses and performance narratives.</li> <li>Build and maintain financial models to support scenario planning, new campus projections, corporate partner analyses, and strategic initiatives.</li> <li>Deliver timely, accurate, and actionable reporting packages to leadership and investors.</li> <li>Closely partner with the Controller to ensure financials reflect strong accounting hygiene and support business insights.</li> <li>Lead Vivvi’s annual budgeting processes.</li> <li>Support accounting in the annual audit.</li> </ul> <p><strong><em>Business Partnering &amp; Strategy</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with Campus, Platform, Enrollment, HR, and Executive teams to understand performance drivers and guide strategic decisions.</li> <li>Conduct margin analyses, pricing evaluations, and cost optimization reviews.</li> <li>Support sales and partnerships with financial modeling, unit economics, and custom scenarios.</li> <li>Translate complex financial information into clear, accessible insights for non-finance stakeholders.</li> </ul> <p><strong><em>Team Leadership &amp; Cross-Functional Management</em></strong></p> <p>Directly manage and develop two team members:</p> <ul> <li>Billing &amp; AP Manager (in-house)</li> <li>Accounting Manager (contractor)</li> <li>Work closely with the Controller (contractor) to ensure seamless alignment between FP&amp;A and Accounting.</li> <li>Establish strong processes, documentation, and automation opportunities to increase team efficiency and scalability.</li> </ul> <p><strong><em>Team Leadership &amp; Cross-Functional Management</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>Improve and standardize reporting systems and workflows across Finance.</li> <li>Evaluate tools and processes to enhance forecasting speed, accuracy, and consistency.</li> <li>Support implementation of new systems (e.g., dashboards, tech stack enhancements, financial integrations).</li> <li>Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the utmost care.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <p>You are set up for success in the Director of Finance role if you have…</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred but not required with commensurate experience</li> <li>5+ years of professional experience; 2+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis OR,&nbsp;</li> <li>A strong background in financial modeling, including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis&nbsp;</li> <li>Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, QuickBooks, and BI/reporting systems is a plus.</li> <li>Ability to synthesize complex financial information and communicate it with stakeholders, including financial and non-financial audiences</li> <li>Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with leaders across a mission-driven organization.</li> <li>Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and thrive in an evolving environment.</li> <li>Passion for early education and supporting children and families</li> <li>MBA is a plus, but not required - we prefer experience and attitude to credentials</li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits</strong></p> <p>The perks of joining Vivvi as a Director of Finance include…</p> <ul> <li>Full time role with the targeted annual salary range being $90,000-$140,000 per year</li> <li>Investment in your growth and skill development as a member of the growing Central Office team</li> <li>Competitive pay, including stock options</li> <li>Comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees (medical, dental, vision, 401k, etc.)</li> <li>Flexible Paid time off</li> <li>Free child care</li> </ul> <p>Ability to work in NYC office 2-3 days per week.
