Job Purpose:
To provide hands-on experience and technical expertise in the LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) and commercial fuel installation, with a primary focus on safety standards, system design, installation, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting.
The role aims to ensure the intern gains comprehensive skills in the practical and technical aspects of fuel systems to support efficient and safe operations.
Principal Accountabilities:
Assist senior engineers in site surveys for new installationsIdentify and evaluate potential hazards in installation sitesShadow technicians during routine site inspectionsAssisting with small-scale LPG installation projectsParticipate in start-up and commissioning proceduresDocument all work and assist in generating reports for compliance checksAssist in the installation of fuel systems, including the setup of pumps, meters, and dispensersPractice troubleshooting common fuel system problems, such as pump malfunctions and leaksAttend operational training for fuel dispensing systems, including maintenance and calibrationConduct maintenance on LPG and commercial fuel systems under supervisionWork on replacing worn-out parts, cleaning equipment, and ensuring proper functionalityAssist in troubleshooting faulty systems and perform root cause analysis for system failuresParticipate in performance audits of installed systemsParticipate in drafting proposals for installation projects and conducting feasibility studiesAttend meetings with clients to discuss design specifications and installation requirementsLead small project components, such as managing the installation of a specific segment of a fuel or LPG systemCoordinate the procurement of necessary materials and equipmentManage and supervise junior technicians or subcontractorsReview and ensure adherence to project timelines and budgetsWork on optimizing fuel and LPG systems for efficiency and safetyAnalyze data from previous installations and recommend improvements for future projectsStudy failure modes and develop solutions for common issues (e.g., gas leakage, system failures)Participate in post-installation inspections and auditsClosing Date: 20 February 2026
- Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or any related field.
- Basic understanding of the oil and gas industry.
