Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.?  Vishay INDIA is currently seeking applicants for Field Application Engineer responsible for providing technical support and advice to the sales team, establishing, and maintaining positive relationships with Research and Development (R&D) engineers and managers. They play a crucial role in supporting customers by offering technical advice, assisting in component selection, and troubleshooting issues. Overall, the individual contributes significantly to the technical and operational effectiveness of the team and the company.

Job Location:

Vishay India (VCIPL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Vishay Intertechnology Inc, USA. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing unit is in Loni near Pune wherein around 1000 employees are employed. VCIPL has also established a Global IT support center at Magarpatta Cyber City in Pune and Sales offices at Bangalore & Delhi (NCR).

What you will be doing:

• Giving technical support and advice to sales
• Having good relationship with R & D engineers and managers
• Supporting customers in terms of technical advice, component selection, and troubleshooting
• Finding out new potential customers in India.
• Leading sales to right way and giving good advice and support for design IN &WIN
• Keeping database effective
• Providing application/component information to divisions in support of new product development.

What you will bring along:

• Bachelor’s degree in electronic and electrical engineering or equivalent qualification.

• Minimum 5 years pf relevant experience in Field Application Engineering or project design engineering field in hardware, circuit and electronics engineering/component industries.

• Strong understanding of electronic components, working experience with resistors/capacitors/inductors/diodes/ MOSFETs is preferred.

• Ability to provide technical advice and troubleshooting component-level issues.

• Knowledge of component selection and application in analog circuits such as Switching Power Supply, Buck/Boost converter, OBC, BMS, ADAS, DCDC, and Inverter. 

• Proven experience in technical sales support or application engineering roles is highly recommended.

• Experience identifying new business opportunities and potential customers.

• Knowledge of the Indian electronics market, including trends and key players is highly recommended.

• Willingness to travel extensively (over 50%) for customer meetings, technical support, and industry events.
