Job Description

Visa is seeking a skilled and innovative Manager of Product Management to support the development and delivery of advanced products and solutions. This role requires a good understanding of the payment infrastructure, utilizing Payment Acceptance, Tokenization, Visa Direct, and 3DS rails to create secure, PCI-compliant products. You will be responsible for optimizing the end-to-end experience for issuers, acquirers, and technology platforms, ensuring that these solutions meet the needs of both developed and emerging markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product and Solution Delivery: Assist in the development and delivery of innovative card acceptance services and capabilities that enhance the overall ecosystem.
  • Product Development: Utilize product-building skills, focusing on digital payment technologies to identify efficiencies and opportunities.
  • Requirement Authoring and Deployment: Assist in authoring detailed business requirements and overseeing the deployment of Solution Services, including creating go-to-market (GTM) collateral and processes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams across Visa to launch, commercialize, and scale business services.
  • Infrastructure Establishment: Contribute to designing and establishing the infrastructure for card acceptance services to meet current and future needs.
  • Sprint Management: Support sprint management, ensuring status updates and delivery align with agreed time, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Issue Management: Identify potential issues early, determine resolutions, communicate status, and track and resolve issues promptly.
  • Global and Regional Balance: Assist in balancing regional and global opportunities to achieve overall solution and platform objectives through collaboration across a complex, matrixed organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Pragmatic Product Building: Synthesize requirements into a common set of platform and service capabilities, writing clear and detailed user stories and requirements for complex features and product sets.
  • Cross-Functional Liaison: Liaise with other business units, product managers, engineering, and other groups to ensure flawless execution and output enablement guides and collaterals.
  • Business Problem Management: Manage business problems through hands-on troubleshooting and analysis, essential for key global projects/programs related to the new solution.
  • Technical Discussions: Participate in technical discussions with knowledge of Payments, EMV, PCI, tokenization, application requirements, customer experience, and software and payments security.
  • Team Collaboration: Act as a bridge between business and technology, collaborating effectively with various teams across Visa globally.
  • Core Platform Development: Support the development of the core platform along with feature sets spanning the end-to-end payments lifecycle.
  • Product Documentation: Manage updates to product documentation and collaborate with global stakeholders on communication impacts, including developing FAQs, internal memos, and Visa Business News (VBN) articles.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing payment products and services tailored for treasury banking.
  • Proven track record of contributing to successful initiatives.
  • Subject matter expertise in debit, credit, and digital products, with an understanding of RTP, card schemes, and Instant Payments.
  • At least 5 years of industry experience in product management, product development, and payments processing, focusing on launching new products and features.
  • Knowledge of Digital Payments, NFC/HCE, and QR Codes.
  • Understanding of Credit/Debit/Pre-Paid cards and the financial/payment industry.
  • Ability to manage projects with multiple workstreams and demonstrate leadership across various product business challenges.
  • Experience in structuring, managing, and coordinating complex workstreams and processes involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence within a highly matrixed organization.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and JIRA.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills and strong oral and written communication capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented and highly execution-focused, with the ability to work effectively with counterparts across multiple functional groups.
  • Organized, with a natural aptitude for both strategic and tactical planning, and the ability to translate strategy into actionable deliverables.
  • Strong business acumen and an understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
  • Ability to think creatively, innovate, and differentiate products, with tangible evidence of business results.
  • Ability to work independently within a complex environment, driving rigorous, fact-based recommendations and solutions.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 131,600 to 210,300 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
