The AP interchange team develops strategies that enables Visa to set the financial rate of exchange, the interchange reimbursement fee (IRF), between different stakeholders in the payments ecosystem. It does so to support the growth of the digital payments’ ecosystem to the benefit of consumers, merchants and all ecosystem participants and society as a whole.
A highly strategic team, it works in close collaboration with all functions and markets in AP as well as globally to develop and evaluate appropriate interchange strategies that balances a range of variables, including but not limited to market contexts, competitive dynamics, regulation, innovation, and new payment use cases.
What an Analyst of Interchange does at Visa:
An Analyst within the interchange team supports strategic and complex projects in collaboration with a matrix of function and market stakeholders. The remit includes conducting data analysis and strategic evaluation based on both market and industry variables while supporting engagements with relevant market and function stakeholders in a way that supports the development of interchange rates strategies across the Asia Pacific Region. The role has a good mix of strategic, business, and technical knowledge providing flexibility and significant learning opportunities in the dynamic digital payments’ ecosystem.
