What is the role about?
We are looking for a junior Workday Extend Developer to join our growing team and contribute to the successful delivery of innovative, scalable applications built on the Workday Extend platform. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled developer who is passionate about building high-impact solutions and helping clients unlock the full value of their Workday investment.
In this role, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and deployment of Workday Extend applications, working collaboratively within a team of expert consultants. You’ll be hands-on with all stages of the development lifecycle—from capturing requirements to post-go-live support—while deepening your expertise in Workday Extend, Built on Workday, and the HCM/Financials business domains.
Responsibilities will include:
Participating in the end-to-end development of Workday Extend applications across client projects
Collaborating with customers and internal teams to gather, refine, and document business requirements
Designing, building, and deploying custom applications using Workday Extend and Built on Workday technologies
Supporting existing applications and troubleshooting issues as they arise
Developing deep knowledge of Workday Extend and its integration with core HCM/Financials modules
Building strong relationships with clients to ensure delivered solutions are aligned with business needs and commercially viable
Contributing to team knowledge sharing and best practices, while escalating complex issues when appropriate
As an Incubane consultant, you will have the flexibility to manage your own day, as long as you meet your set objectives and client demands. Often your team will be a mix of on-site and remote based members who will connect using IM, video calls and an online ticketing system. Good communication skills and time management is essential for this role.
What skills are we looking for?
Our roles are remotely based (even pre-Covid), meaning you will be working from your home office, connecting with your client and team on a daily basis. To be successful in this type of environment, you will need to have the ability to communicate effectively (in English) with cross-functional teams, explain complex concepts in easy, understandable terms, align HR / business knowledge with Workday functionality, and proactively drive process improvements. You will need to be comfortable with video calls and be proactive in keeping communication channels open with your client and team.
Must have Skills Required:
Experience with working with web services technologies (SOAP, REST)
Good knowledge in object-oriented programming language
Good understanding of cloud computing
Good customer focus with some experience in consulting
Understanding of Agile delivery approach
Clear and effective communicator, able to communicate with customers and colleagues
Capability of working with remote Teams and alongside Customers
Aware of the important of the confidentiality and nondisclosure policies
English B2 proficiency
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems) or equivalent experience
As this is a hybrid role, you will need to be based in Warsaw, Poland and need to be authorised to work in this location without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
