Description
Virtual Staffing Solutions is looking for results driven Accounts Receivable Specialists. The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing end-to-end accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and effective coordination with internal teams and external customers. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting process improvements, and ensuring smooth AR operations within a fast-paced virtual staffing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end customer invoicing, including daily billing, accurate posting, and regular reconciliation of customer statements.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers to ensure timely resolution of billing matters and prompt payment turnaround.
- Verify invoice accuracy, ensuring correct coding and posting within the appropriate financial periods.
- Maintain and update customer records, including contact details and remittance information, to ensure data accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve customer billing inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
- Oversee AR timelines to support the timely issuance of financial statements and accounting close activities.
- Lead or support system enhancements, process improvements, staff training, and special projects related to accounts receivable operations, financial metrics, and internal controls.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
- At least 1 year of experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting
- Experience handling high-volume vendor invoices
- Familiarity with month-end and year-end close, including 1099/1096 preparation
- Knowledge of general ledger coding and job costing
- Experience processing weekly check runs and vendor payments
