Summary:
Coordinates system wide immunizations, and surveillance programs including respiratory fit testing, tuberculosis screenings, blood borne pathogen, TB and Pertusis exposures and flu immunizations.
Provides education and guidance for hospital employees through our programs focused on safety needs.
Position Responsibilities:
• Coordinates all details of various surveillance screenings and immunization programs.
• Responsible for data entry, maintenance of equipment, and ordering of supplies for surveillance/immunization programs.
• Identifies process improvements to screening programs, i.e. schedule development in coordination with most effective screening times; forms development/updates.
• Resource to Occupational Health centers related to various employee health screenings, i.e. trouble shooting respirator fit testing equipment, Connections etc.
• Responsible for data collection and statistics, will prepare reports as requested.
• Calculates and communicates monthly statistics with regard to compliance and provides data to various committees across Virtua Health including Infection Control, HR and EOC committees.
• Resource to LOA team, assists in answering phones, employees with LOA paperwork and general LOA questions when not screening in a division.
Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:
Minimum of 1 year acute care experience required.
Employee Health/Occupational Health experience preferred.
Required Education:
Graduate of practical nursing program from accredited school.
Training/Certifications/Licensure:
Graduate of practical nursing program from accredited school.
Current NJ LPN license.
