JOB TITLE:  Incident Management Specialist   

POSITION GRADE: 80 $24.00 - $28.00/hr (commensurate with education & experience)                  

DEPARTMENT/PROGRAM: Compliance & Risk Management 

SUPERVISOR: Director of Compliance & Risk Management                       

 

JOB SUMMARY:

 

Under general direction of the Director of Compliance & Risk Management, assist in driving quality improvement through incident monitoring, investigation coordination and training.  Assists program leadership in assuring compliance with standards for State agencies and Justice Center Reporting. Carries out all job responsibilities with fidelity and accountability to the Agency’s Mission, Vision, Strategic Plan and commitments to the Sanctuary Model of Care

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Exercises full compliance with the Agency’s Code of Conduct, all Agency Policies and Procedures.

 

  • Maintains confidentiality and security for all client and staff related materials and/or records.

 

  • Monitors internal and external incident management databases, reports, policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, State oversight agencies, Justice Center and accrediting bodies.  

 

  • Manages and/or conducts internal and external investigations of allegations of abuse and neglect. Document results in agency format, reviews with appropriate department leaders or committees and reports investigation findings.

 

  • Coordinate, monitor, and support general activities related to incidents, investigations and risk management issues. Assist in development and implementation of quality assurance procedures and systems for the department.

 

  • Conduct onboarding and quarterly Mandated Reporter and Incident Management trainings. Facilitate additional meetings and/ or trainings related to incident management, review, and prevention as needed. 

 

  • Other duties as assigned

 

POSITION SPECIFICS: 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in related human service field preferred. Current bachelor’s level coursework in combination with relevant experience will be taken into consideration.  

Experience: Experience working within OCFS, OMH, OASAS, or SED systems of care required. Previous Therapeutic Crisis Intervention experience highly preferred.

  • Knowledge of State funding streams and accreditation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to organize and motivate others.
