We are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer who can partner directly with enterprise customers to design, build, and deliver high-impact solutions on top of VetRec’s core platform. This role combines technical depth with customer empathy — you’ll work hand-in-hand with clients, translating their workflows and needs into scalable, production-ready solutions. What You’ll Be Doing

Work directly with enterprise customers to understand workflows and translate needs into scalable solutions.

Design and implement customer-facing features using our existing tech stack (Python, FastAPI, React, React Native).

Collaborate with our engineering team to extend and customize core VetRec products for enterprise use cases.

Guide customers through technical integrations, including APIs, cloud infrastructure, and data pipelines.

Prototype, validate, and iterate quickly with customers — from concept to production.

Ensure solutions are robust, secure, and aligned with best practices while maintaining our “move fast” ethos.

Be the bridge between product, engineering, and customers — shaping product direction based on real-world feedback.

Requirements

5+ years of software engineering or solutions engineering experience.

Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI or similar) and React / React Native .

Experience building AI-powered features with LLMs (frameworks like BAML are a plus).

Proven ability to design and deliver enterprise-grade integrations and backend systems.

Excellent communication skills and customer-facing experience.

Hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS or Azure), including storage, compute, and serverless functions.

Strong database knowledge (SQL & NoSQL).

A consultative mindset — you’re comfortable leading technical discussions with customers and turning them into actionable solutions.

Passion for AI, startups, and working in environments where agility and innovation are non-negotiable.
