<p><strong><u>Primary Medical Director Responsibilities:</u></strong></p>

<li>Establish medical standards for the practice, including protocols for wellness care, anesthesia, surgery, diagnostics, pain management, dental care, and recordkeeping.</li>
<li>Lead the clinical team to ensure consistent, high-quality patient and client care.</li>
<li>Oversee accurate and timely medical records and charge capture.</li>
<li>Identify and implement new clinical services in collaboration with leadership.</li>
<li>Ensure excellent client service and communication.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><em>Leading Staff and Practice </em></strong></p>

<li>Assist in hiring and onboarding veterinarians and technicians.</li>
<li>Support training, continuing education, and mentorship.</li>
<li>Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and financial performance.</li>
<li>Ensure regulatory compliance and effective team management.</li>
<li>Lead and participate in team meetings and practice initiatives.</li>
<li>Supervision & Coaching: Mentor and evaluate associate veterinarians, conduct regular case reviews and foster professional development.</li>
<li>Promote a collaborative and innovative culture.</li>

<li>Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university</li>
<li>Valid Veterinary License in the state of Massachusetts</li>
<li>Strong medical, communication, and leadership skills</li>
<li>Proven ability to manage people, delegate tasks, and drive results</li>
