Vested’s Director of Public Relations is responsible for owning and leading a portfolio of accounts, leading strategic integrated marketing and communications strategies for their clients, managing team members to ensure programs are being delivered above clients’ expectations, and cultivating new business.  Directors lead and are owners of their overall accounts and will be held accountable for the retention and growth of their clients as well as the motivation/effectiveness of their teams and direct reports. Directors play a critical role in the business of the agency and are expected to demonstrate a deep commitment to the growth of the agency, as well as contribute to the Group Vested platform.

• Managed and maintained an annual client portfolio threshold of at least  $1M in fees
• A deep understanding of the overall financial services industry, with knowledge across buy- and sell-side, banking, capital markets and more, from front- to back-office as well as associated areas such as fintech
• Expert knowledge  in multiple areas of financial services with the ability to proactively consult clients on marketing/comms strategies based on that knowledge
• Successfully managed Agency teams of various sizes and skillsets up to 10 direct reports with a focus on how team members can be motivated at all times to achieve stellar results
• Ability to provide strategic client counsel to ensure goals are met - across brand visibility, reputation management, crisis comms, employee engagement and more

• Actively works to improve Group Vested as a global business - top-line revenue, profitability, client portfolio, staffing, cultural, programs and services and more
• Proactively consults clients on integrated marketing and communications strategies
• Demonstrates firm knowledge of multi-channel programs and can lead a team of experts to execute on these program ideas and confidently articulate the benefits of paid, owned, earned and shared media and how to potentially leverage these channels to deliver better client programs
• Converses with client regularly and understands client sentiment/mindset at all times
• Is able to hold honest, “tough” conversations with client contacts to ensure the client is happy and the account is retained or growing
• Works with the team to map out client relationships - who owns what relationships and ensures that the client relationship is owned at all levels
• Leads planning and strategy workshops with clients to map business/comms goals and can build effective marketing and communications strategies that achieve those goals
• Leads large-scale public relations and integrated programs for clients and sources new, qualified prospects
• Leads and wins new business pitches - actively participating in first, second and final meetings as well as developing and finalizing proposals and programs independently
• Identifies how to improve aspects of Vested’s new business and pitch process, grows a strong network with potential prospective clients and upsells additional programs and services to clients through consultation or creative ideas
