About this role

Job Summary

The Production Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating manufacturing activities to ensure efficient production flow, on-time delivery, and optimal inventory levels. This role works closely with production, procurement, logistics, and sales to balance customer demand with manufacturing capacity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production plans and schedules based on demand forecasts, customer orders, and capacity constraints
  • Monitor production progress and adjust plans to address delays, shortages, or capacity issues
  • Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure material and capacity availability
  • Analyze MRP outputs and take corrective actions for shortages or excess inventory
  • Communicate production plans, changes, and priorities to internal stakeholders
  • Track key planning KPIs such as OTD, schedule adherence, and inventory levels
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning processes
  • Participate in S&OP / demand review meetings as required

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement tools
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with planning tools is a plus

 

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in production planning or supply chain within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities
