POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and safety-minded Machine Operator II to join our manufacturing team in Anderson, SC. The Machine Operator II is responsible for operating and maintaining advanced manufacturing equipment while supporting plant objectives related to safety, quality, productivity, reliability, and continuous improvement. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality products in a team-oriented environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment in a safe and efficient manner, including but not limited to:

  • Fin Press and Fin Power systems
  • Precision brake equipment
  • Vertical and horizontal expanders
  • Overhead cranes
  • Hairpin machinery
  • Paint systems
  • Welding equipment

Perform accurate measurements and calculations using precision measuring instruments and gauges to ensure products meet exact specifications.

Conduct quality inspections and verify conformance to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.

Set up, adjust, configure, and maintain equipment to support efficient production and minimize downtime.

Identify equipment or process issues and take appropriate corrective actions or escalate as required.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with safety policies and procedures.

Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and support functions to achieve production and quality goals.

Demonstrate flexibility by learning and operating multiple machines and processes as business needs require.

Maintain a positive, progressive, and productive attitude toward plant targets and objectives regarding safety, quality, accountability, and productivity.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED required.

Previous experience operating manufacturing or industrial equipment preferred.

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to perform hands-on technical work.

Ability to read measuring devices such as calipers, gauges, and other precision instruments.

Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to perform calculations using decimals.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Willingness to learn new equipment, processes, and preventive maintenance techniques.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

Due to the nature of the role, team members may be required to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis, stand or walk for extended periods, bend, twist, squat, climb ladders, and use tools requiring manual dexterity. Operation of powered industrial equipment and overhead cranes may be required.
