About this role

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services for the organization. This position is also responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with vendors and negotiating contracts and pricing agreements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and source suppliers for required materials, components, and services.
  • Obtain and review quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, and place purchase orders.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services in alignment with production schedules and company needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or service.
  • Monitor supplier compliance with contractual agreements and company standards.
    Track and report on procurement spending, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, spending, and supplier performance.
  • Work with engineering, production, and other departments to understand material requirements and specifications.
  • Provide support in resolving any procurement-related issues or challenges that may arise.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within the HVAC or manufacturing industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in supplier management.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement tools.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

  • The role is primarily based in a manufacturing facility, requiring regular site visits and interaction with production teams.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.
  • The role involves extended periods of sitting in front of a computer.
  • Occasional standing or walking may be required during meetings, presentations, or site visits.
  • Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.
