Job Description

The On-Air Graphics Director will lead strategic initiatives and conduct daily business. Work with internal and external teams to develop and maintain graphics department operations for on-air broadcasts, graphics creation, and distribution. Identify and spearhead new opportunities. This role will support both studio and remote productions. 

Qualifications

Responsibilities 

  • Take responsibility for the full end-to-end creative and graphics delivery workflows 

  • Continually monitor the performance of and address any technology needs of the department 

  • Co-ordinate across company divisions to maintain business continuity 

  • Manage third party relationships 

  • Conduct interviews and onboard new hires 

  • Lead a team of managers and work towards department goals 

  • Support the project management team in all aspects 

  • Plan out staffing schedules and resources 

  • Set & track budgets 

  • Collaborate with Art Directors to guide and facilitate the creative process 

  • Collaborate with show-side staff to set expectations, timelines and budgets as it pertains to their particular needs, shepherding projects from the build phase (pre-air) to the support phase (on-air support) 

 

QUALIFICATIONS –  

Basic Requirements: 

  • Minimum (8) years’ experience working at a network or broadcast design agency

  • Strategic thinker with strong leadership and interpersonal skills 

  • Excellent negotiation ability to influence across all levels, both inside and outside the organization 

  • Self-starter with exceptional organizational, project, and management skills. 

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 

  • Innovative mindset with positive energy and flexibility. 

  • Ability to lead and motivate direct reports and cross-functional teams. 

  • Love of sports is a plus
