We prize professionals who are equipped with great technical skills and a self-starting attitude.&nbsp; We seek individuals with a sense of purpose and for whom detail and craftsmanship are of their essence; individuals that are curious, demonstrate initiative, and love solving problems.</p> <p><strong>Our platform and our team</strong></p> <p>Our platform uses a mix of commercial and Open Source off-the-shelf software to deliver a DDI infrastructure platform, integrating with multiple platforms and services across Verisign. We follow a mostly Kanban workflow, adhere to GitOps principles as much as possible and value fast iteration, secure-by-default solutions and customer-oriented mindset.</p> <p><strong>Job responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li data-uuid="064f42b2-0ec7-4732-bbd7-56304384408d">Build, operate, and maintain our Infoblox platform supporting our DDI initiative at Verisign</li> <li data-uuid="fe7561b9-152a-404d-b53c-8b5ff74f751e">Implement and support monitoring pipelines for DDI platform health to support platform observability and availability</li> <li data-uuid="87f97d86-4895-49ef-a6b4-bc6db52d0172">Automate DDI workflows for provisioning, cleanup and compliance enforcement</li> <li data-uuid="edbdee50-11fa-40f3-af02-7b281b882bc6">Troubleshoot complex DNS/DHCP/IPAM incidents, participate in root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes</li> <li data-uuid="92a10c92-b9ae-4b79-a1f9-6ebc69436300">Create and maintain documentation and runbooks for our first-line support teams</li> <li data-uuid="b369db7a-0d58-4c5a-a79a-672c60077de2">Ensure compliance with vulnerability management standards and information security standards</li> <li data-uuid="1c5ac5db-7cf2-4c42-9406-d3f5707c9253">Participate in a 24x7 on call rotation for tier 3 support</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li data-uuid="0d43cdf3-e607-4d1b-8908-02eeea9f45e7">Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience</li> <li data-uuid="51b6460f-2c5d-4f3a-bc95-ecc71b3329cb">5+ years of relevant industry experience</li> <li data-uuid="7064cbc9-67a1-460b-b2b4-bcf3a127ec05">Written and verbal communication skills – ability to clearly and succinctly describe complex issues</li> <li data-uuid="d1df48e9-e622-445b-98e9-deffdf650049">Experience deploying and operating a DDI platform from industry leading vendors in a production environment</li> <li data-uuid="d745495f-aed6-4b6f-9ed7-81425a0f0848">Experience integrating multiple services with a DDI platform in a enterprise architecture</li> <li data-uuid="1769f173-32fe-44d1-bdfb-cf582c76e319">Strong understanding of DNS protocols, DHCP lease management and IPAM (IPv4 and IPv6) hierarchy</li> <li data-uuid="5665e73c-ab54-4d57-a394-6e648e530ff5">Understanding of CMDB and ITIL concepts</li> <li data-uuid="59db1e0a-1a3c-4d74-a9e8-8ac9d4056815">Understanding of network protocols and security</li> <li data-uuid="d72a2cc4-7ec8-4ec5-9d0b-2e4eb82d92c5">Ability to write scripts in either Python or Go that can interact with multiple platforms in an enterprise architecture</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desired Skills, Experience, and Attributes</strong>:</p> <p>An ideal candidate will have a blend of technical skills, a desire to work as part of a team to learn and grow themselves and those around them, and will have some of the following skills:</p> <ul> <li data-uuid="b16e8e94-e889-4781-a776-148250dff983">Experience running an Infoblox platform in a production environment and integrating both custom and built-in services within an enterprise architecture</li> <li data-uuid="5467a739-1d42-4d9e-b960-4500de380e35">Experience maintaining highly available services in both an on-prem and cloud-based production environment.</li> <li data-uuid="ef1c3f7f-ac04-441e-af27-86d3607884e7">ServiceNow integration experience (API, workflows etc)</li> <li data-uuid="80ab42a3-6882-4df6-a4e8-e95e94e18493">Understanding and able to use with development tools such as Github, Jira</li> <li data-uuid="5b8eb676-fc83-4fb9-9f1b-09ae6c674f08">Understanding of BGP and anycast</li> <li data-uuid="cf648ad0-689e-4806-a887-cc11c3a14d8e">Exposure to Netbox</li> <li data-uuid="9082ab6d-b0a8-4e2e-abf7-2b8b43bc4da5">Exposure to Kubernetes</li> <li data-uuid="9be071f8-8402-47b1-abc9-4a76f76ef481">Familiarity with one more public and/or private cloud computing platforms</li> <li data-uuid="fc238b18-ab10-43e6-aeb6-06512c01a050">Familiarity with Network Discovery</li> <li data-uuid="95da67a2-a5df-4206-938d-5cc96c44c38f">Familiarity with ISC BIND and DHCP/kea</li> <li data-uuid="d806a710-9eda-4254-8fc3-061bb51ce80f">Know how to create and manage automation pipelines with tools such as JenkinsKnow how to manage capacity of public routable address space</li> </ul> <p><strong>This position is based in our Reston, VA office and offers a hybrid work environment.</strong></p> <p>The pay range is $108,900 - $147,300.&nbsp;</p> <p>The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience.
