Salary: £31,000 plus Veolia benefits
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week

5 days per week, rotating shifts (06:00 -14:30 / 14:00 - 22:30 / 22:00 - 06:30)

Overtime when needed 

Location: Dagenham Plastics, RM9 6LF

This site is a milk bottle recycling facility that uses state-of-the-art technology to wash and decontaminate used milk bottles into resin that can be reused into milk bottle manufacturing, closing the loop on this high value waste stream. 

This site operates 24 hours per day, 5 days a week.

What will you be doing?

  • Responsible for the safety of all staff, contractors, and visitors on-site

  • Ensure materials are processed to achieve target throughputs and required TPH

  • Ensure all site staff are inducted and trained on the appropriate toolkits relevant to the area of work and provide positive leadership to the team

  • Support supervisors with training matrix training of all staff

  • Ensuring all production KPI data is being recorded clearly and accurately, ensuring all spreadsheets and shift reports are completed.

  • Deputize for the Supervisor in their absence and provide cover on any other roles as and when required or any other request.

  • Facilitate site tours and visits as required

  • Act as a fire Marshall in Emergency scenarios and real life situations should they arise.

  • Monitor all critical Scada (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) parameters and ensure any deviations are reported in a timely manner.

  • Act as a First aider for the shift (After training)

What are we looking for?

  • Similar operational staff management experience within manufacturing, recycling or waste management

  • Experience in SCADA would be an advantage - software and hardware-based system
