Class 2 Driver 

Salary: £39,835.85 per annum plus single person allowance 

Daily meal allowance - per day worked

Hours: 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday 

Location: Garmondsway, Ferryhill, DL17 9DT

What you'll be doing;

• To drive/operate vehicles and equipment as required by the Company and in accordance with a valid licence, experience and training for the vehicle and equipment

• To drive/operate vehicles and equipment in accordance with Company safety procedures and safe working practices, complying with relevant legislation at all times

• To complete, check and return all paperwork required in undertaking these duties (including tachographs, daily vehicle reports, defect reports, route sheets and waste transfer notes)

• To undertake any training/instruction required to carry out these duties

• To deal with customers, colleagues and members of the public in a responsible, professional and courteous manner

• To maintain the cleanliness and appearance of vehicles and equipment to a high standard

• To notify management of any medication taken that may affect performance
   

What we're looking for;

Essential:

• Class 2 (category C) licence

• Valid CPC / Tacho Card

• Confident and capable to undertake physically demanding tasks

• Good geographic knowledge of operating area

Desired:

• Understanding of relevant waste management legislation.
