Salary: £17.30 per hour plus Veolia benefits. 

Regular overtime available - midweek paid at time and a half (£25.95 per hour) weekend at double time (£34.60 per hour)

Hours: 41.5 hours. Monday - Thursday 07:30-16:30, early finish on a Friday at 15:30. 

One in 14 weeks mandatory night shift rota with additional retainer payment. Additional hourly incentive payments available for shift working, major projects and responsibilities.

What you’ll be doing;

  • Driving both onsite and off site collecting waste liquids

  • Undertaking the necessary daily checks as per the driver's handbook.

  • Adhering to all transport and waste management legislation and ensuring all traffic laws and legislation are complied with in relation to your duties including the security and weight of loads.

  • Participating in pre-job risk assessments utilising a variety of tools to remove hazardous materials whilst working in a safe manner at all times to avoid taking unnecessary risks.

  • Reporting faults on plant, equipment and infrastructure and any other operational difficulties to a member of the line management team, as they occur. 

  • Assisting in the maintenance of plant and equipment when instructed to do so and to assist in the commissioning of new plant, equipment and processes as required.

What we’re looking for;

  • Cat C + E (Class 1) licence and experience

  • Operating knowledge of high airflow machines and vacuum tankers

  • Existing ADR Qualification (this will be maintained by Veolia)

  • Up to date driver CPC (this will be maintained by Veolia)

  • Must be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions

  • Prepared to work flexible hours, evenings, nights and weekends if required.
